After a big fire or earthquake, and the insurance money starts rolling, the local newspaper will mention how the money may help the local economy.
The same could be said about house mold. But if the house that replaces it is water and energy inefficient, the overall long term effect will be negative.

house mold doesn't really do exponentially sudden damage.
